Sewing Cloth Pads - A make and take event for your monthly cycle
Respect your flow and be kind to Mother Earth! Single-use disposable pads and tampons create massive amounts of waste every single year. It's estimated that nearly 20 billion pads and tampons are discarded each year in North America alone. In addition most feminine hygiene products contain toxic ingredients! These reasons alone should motivate you to switch to some kind of reusable menstrual product now!
In this workshop we will

Make 1-2 cloth pads and a menstrual cup pouch to take home
Take home different size patterns, material guide & step by step instructions
Everything you need to make 1-2 pads and/or a menstrual cup pouch will be provided for in the workshop. You will also be provided with a list of materials that can be used, simple how-to instructions and 3 different size patterns so you can make more at home.
In addition to talking about the benefits of alternative menstrual products and making our own cloth pads, we will gather together and enjoy the company of other women! Wine (and nonalcoholic beverages) along with snacks will be provided!
